Our Beginning in Halifax - Manilla Thai's Start
Manilla Thai officially opened its doors on October 28, 2023, right in the heart of Halifax, Nova Scotia. It's a special place where Chef Renz combines the best tastes from Manila, Thailand, and the West, along with the familiar flavors of Filipino home cooking.

About Chef Renz and Manila Thai
Chef Renz started cooking in a restaurant in Manila back in 1995. Then, he worked in Saudi Arabia, where he fell in love with Thai foods and learned lots of techniques. After that, he moved to Canada and explored the amazing flavors of Western dishes.
